Steroid dosage for dog allergies

Steroids killed nine-year-old Lexie McConnell after only five and a half weeks. In August 1993, Lexie was diagnosed as having toxoplasmosis. The consultant put her on 80 mg per day of prednisolone. Immediately, she suffered severe side effects, huge weight gain , terrible pains, holes in her tongue and black stools. After nearly a month, at her parents' pleading, the doctors quickly lowered the dosage to 60 mg, 40 mg, 20 mg. In excruciating pain, Lexie was taken to a hospital, where it was discovered she'd contracted chickenpox. Four days later, she died. A few years later, another eye specialist declared that a simple course of antibiotics could have cleared up her infection. The above excerpt is from Ursula Kelly's site

The structure of cyclocreatine is fairly flat (planar), which aids in passive diffusion across membranes. It has been used with success in an animal study, where mice suffered from a SLC6A8 (creatine transporter at the blood brain barrier) deficiency, which is not responsive to standard creatine supplementation. [98] This study failed to report increases in creatine stores in the brain, but noted a reduction of mental retardation associated with increased cyclocreatine and phosphorylated cyclocreatine storages. [98] As demonstrated by this animal study and previous ones, cyclocreatine is bioactive after oral ingestion [98] [99] and may merely be a creatine mimetic, able to phosphorylate ADP via the creatine kinase system. Man da.
I have had 3 back surgeries and live in chronic pain. Currently have 1 ruptured and 2 slipped and heavily compressed discs. I was on all manner of heavy pain Ned’s for 7 years. They were ruinin my life.
Now I take a teaspoon of every 3 to 8hrs.
Definitely give it a try.
It does work like oxycodi e so you will get constipated..not much way around it. You will develop a tolerance as well. Start with as low a dosage as works and go from there.
A coffee enema at least once a month keeps body toxins in check. Good luck!

Hi there! Thanks so much for the tip. I have a 15-20lb beagle mix and a 70lb golden lab. The lab has had a skin condition for YEARS! Complete with hotspots and constant scratching. And our vet(s) have not been able to figure it out. I tried treating for food allergies, fleas/ticks/mites, fungus, and so many other ‘suggestions’. And the little beagle is showing signs of (what I’ve been told) doggie eczema. So….I have tired garlic….I’m going to start today and will update on my progress. Question, can I give them a garlic supplement? Or is fresh garlic preferred?
Thanks again for your post.
